Day 6 – The Desert Rd (can he fix it?)

Yes he can. Turangi to Marton on a fixie, no problem. Rode the Turangi to Waiouru section at a solid 25kph average. Downhill wasn’t as bad as I’d feared, so a ripper day all in all – certainly easier than Northland.

Rather proud of the lunch break – managed a two foot subway along with some home baking, etc, etc. Wondering how the weigh-in will go tomorrow. I was back to my starting weight this morning.

All good with the bike and rider, though my butt iron-like as it is is getting a little sore. Won’t mention the communual lunch time saddle creme tub though. A little sad being away from my family too, if someone can check in on them that would be great.
